good but a little overrated - should be 3 and 1/2 stars
Okay, at one time (in earlier editions) this was a great book, but it has become outdated.It is still good, but it is not the best.I gave it 4 stars, but I would really have given it a 3.5 if that had been an option.
Good book, but a little dated and choppy
I bought this book before starting up my new law practice because it's one of really only two good books on opening a law office, and this one seemed to have the most praise.
It was all that I expected it to be.
The book arrived on time, infact a day earlier than I anticipated. It was in excellent shape, cover crisp and shiny and didn't seem like it had been used at all. Surprisingly, it was delivered right outside my apartment door. I have purchased other books through amazon before, but none were personally delivered to me.Out of all the purchases through amazon, this exceeds all in quality for my money and efficiency in delivery. ... Great way to jump start your MBE study

Finz is a very good presenter
I used this review for the bar exam and found it to be very helpful.Finz is both entertaining and concise.This set is thorough and I would recommend it for law school or the bar or even for professionals just looking for 'nutshell' encapsulation of the subject of Torts.This one compares favorably to the many other Sum and Substance CDs as well as other sets I've listened to.

A great break from reading torts
Finz has an interesting accent and he does sing a few times, but this cd set is a great way to refresh after lecture or after reading the text.From intentional torts to strict liability to products liability, Finz covers it all and he uses examples to illustrate his point -very useful.I would give it 5 stars, but he is somewhat annoying.I'll never be able to get "fun trucking, fun truckiiiiiiiinnnnnnggggg" out of my head.Buy the set and find out what I'm talking about.

Great help in Evidence class
This book is set up great. I like how there are cases, but no little like "notes" at the bottom of the pages. It explains the specific area of Evidence well in relation to the cases and gives good problems to work out so you can make sure you understand the topic. Great book!! ... Read more

Criminology and criminal justice has been the subject of a lot of research. Comprehensive, Useable, and Readable
The book was a long read and made some challenging conclusions but provided me with specific, valuable knowledge in serious construction scheduling topics such as extension of time claims and time impact analysis.The examples included are many as are the case studies.The book opened my mind as to the significant capability the construction schedule can have on making or breaking the profitablility of a compressed project or one that is prone to delays.The book is a must read for consultants on the matter but also important to senior project controls staff. ... It's pretty bad
This book isn't completely useless, though it's pretty close.I'd say that a couple of the Logical Reasonig chapters are useful, but that's about it.The games section is completely useless (get the Powerscore Logic Games Bible).
DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK - COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME
I have to say I am very disappointed and I may actually take Kaplan up on thier 100% money back policy.I purchased the Kaplan LSAT, Kaplan 180, Powerscore Logic Games Bible, Powerscore Logic Reasoning Bible and started with the Kaplan LSAT.How unfortunate, as Powerscore uses methods 100% more effective, in addition to using real LSAT examples.
NOT real LSAT questions = NOT worth the money
When I started studying for the LSAT I didn't fully understand the importance of studying with REAL LSAT questions. I purchased the basic Kaplan LSAT book + Kaplan 180. the basic Kaplan book was a COMPLETE waste of money, and the Kaplan 180 was little better. The questions just aren't from actual LSATs, and they simply aren't the same. Furthermore, the books were riddled with typos. If I could do it all over again in a more cost effective manner here is what I would get, respectively:

Buy it
This is a fantastic hard cover book which relates much of the information needed when working in the related field. Tjompson/Delmar Learning publishers are among the highest in their field. If you are looking for a source on Civil litigation then you most certainly have found it.

This book is very poorly written.There are many typographical errors throughout the book and many, many inaccuracies in the content.Some terms are used incorrectly and instead of assisting the reader in learning civil litigation, it creates confustion and frustration.

For all those up and comming law studients, this is a great information source. Step by step, the steps of the litigation process are illustrated. Not as good as I'd hoped
This book did not teach me nearly as much as I'd hoped.It gives a very superficial outline of a lot of topics, but somehow when I finished, I didn't feel like I'd learned anything.

a MUST for future law students
I have purchased a number of law-related books from Amazon, but this book is by far the standout of the bunch. It systematically covers all of the major topics covered in the courses offered at every law school in the US comprehensively, even explaining the case briefing process. This new edition incorporates actual case law, allowing you to sample the work done at law school before actual signing your loan check and taking the plunge. Dunham clearly explains all of the basic terminology and principles underlying the first year of law school, providing the law student-to-be a firm foundation and a peace of mind before starting classes. I recommend this book without reservation to ANYONE interested in law school or interested in bulking up on their knowledge of the substance and form of law in the United States.
