2-0 out of 5 stars Mostly Unnecesary Study Aid
Think twice before you get this book. All three tests in the book are available in other, more recent study books. It contains PrepTests 11, 12, & 13, which correspond to June 1994, October 1994, and December 1994, respectively. All three of these tests are available in "10 Actual, Official LSAT PrepTests.
3-0 out of 5 stars Don't just rely on this !!
yes, it is real previous test, but whenever the book mentioned explanation included, i expected full explanation on each one, but it is NOT. they only explain the selective question of one test, not 3 tests, which is kind of disappointed. and they don't teach you the strategy at all, you have to look at the cracking LSAT book for that. All above, the is a subsidary book only.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Way To Study
I took the LSAT this fall, and I think that the most worthwhile and practical way to study for it is by taking these tests. While other books may be full of "hints" and "tips" the only way toreally know what an LSAT will be like is by taking one, or preferablyseveral. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars ABOVE AVERAGE TEST TAKERS BE CAREFUL
These books are ok but they aren't for everyone.I test well on standardized tests and took a practice test and scored very high. The more i worked in this book, the slower I became and the lower i scored.Take a practice test-If you are someone who scores high on standardized tests usually, you may just want to take the test on adrenaline and your good wits. That is what I will be doing next time, as I did on the SAT's as well. These books help lots of people I'm sure, but this is one case where someone scored significantly lower due to practicing methods not necessarily needed. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Wow
This book is absolutely phenominal. I used it and I must say that my score significantly rose. I was getting in the 130ish range and after completing this couse I am scoring in the 160s. This book gets into the minds of the LSAC and shows you to solve the problem from THEIR point of view instead of wasting time by meditating on a problem for minutes without a general process of thought.

This is essentially the Kaplan Fifth Edition LSAT book (2001-2003) with a different cover -- all of the content and practice tests are the same. This version is printed on brittle, recycled paper -- like what Princeton Review does.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Primer
I took the LSAT in October 2002 and used this book, Kaplan's LSAT 180 and a few old exams provided by LSAC.1-0 out of 5 stars Worst of the Worst
Horrible Horrible! If you want to fail the LSAT BUY THIS BOOK!The practice tests have so many incorrect answers I doubt very much that the author could get into an accredited law school.

3-0 out of 5 stars Definitely not "LSAT for Dummies"
I am not a law student, and I don't think I will be with this book. Maybe I should say that I am not pre-law. I have no prior understanding of law, except what I've seen on TV, which is totally accurate, I'm sure. If you're like me and you have no knowledge of law, you might want to get the Princeton Review book, instead. Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars buy only if very short on time
this book if very brief (it offers no more information or instruction than that provided in the lsat registration booklet that comes with your test application). the sample questions for the analytic section are much easierthan those on the lsat, but the logic questions were about the samedifficulty. if you only have a few days to prepare, i guess this would be agood choice since it is a quick read, but if you have more time, irecommend barron's pass-key instead. FYI: don't take the december lsat, idid and everyone had a cold and was coughing and sneezing and blowing theirnoses and it was impossible to concetrate--it was a nightmare!

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to Learn
In going through the book, the questions seemed complicated at first, but the book teaches you how to take the information and make a diagram and place all the information in proper order, this makes answering thequestions very simple, (once you get the hang of it!).

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent technique and strategies in a small book.
There are many guides to the LSAT and they are all very similar to eachother. However, the Cliff's notes version has three sample tests anddiscusses each section of the test in-depth.It leaves the reader wellprepared for the test and for half the price of most of the other books. In addition, since actual sample tests are available from LSAT.ORG, thereis simply no reason to buy another book and pay more money. The onlydownside is that the book is very small so it's relatively hard to write onthe sample tests as the book suggests.Overall, it is well worth the 9.99suggested retail price. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars For my use it works, but don't use to study.
Right now I'm using 4 different books to prep for my LSAT.I've got the LSAT Kaplin book, which is the one that I'm really using to study.I also have a copy of Kaplin's 180 book, however that is for use in the future.I own a copy of the 10 Prep Tests, that book is very stright forward in it's use.I also have this book put together by the people at Cliffnotes.I use this book for one purpose.I wanted a book that I could use just to use random test questions to solve.I'm going through the tests, but not under any test conditions. There are a handful of bad questions in this book, and as a serious study aid, it can't hold a candle to any of the other ones. But I suspose for my use, it's doing what I wanted.

1-0 out of 5 stars cliffs prep
Far too simple of an approach to the complex problems of mastering the questions presented by the LSAT.Sample and practice questions were far too misleading in their simplicity as compared to what the LSAT actually has.Sample tests do not even come close to what you will experience on the real exam.

1-0 out of 5 stars Unhelpful
There were a ton of errors and the made-up questions did not seem all that similar to the real LSAT questions. I would recommend Princeton Review for Arguements and Arco for games. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Forewarned is forearmed
A savvy dissection of the intimidating test by someone who has administered it for years, revealing its hidden structures, obfusicating tricks, and misunderstood objectives. The 9-12-18 strategy, which diagnoses your optimal balance between speed and accuracy, is alone worth the price of this manual. Various study programs are outlined for those who have anywhere between seven days and seven weeks in which to prepare.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Study Guide
As one of Tamsen's study partners from law school I can attest to the method of study techniques that she's outlined in this book. The Law School Survival Guide is concise, easy to read, andhas great sketches by Professor Mixon; however, most importantly, it is a useful tool. You cannot go wrong following the guidelines in the Law School Survival Guide! It'll make your law school experience productive and fun.

5-0 out of 5 stars What a great study tool!
When I read this book I was sceptical that any one could learn to study using someone else's methods but after reading it I have to admit that I was wrong.I implemented some of Mrs. Valoir's methods and found that I increased my grades substantially.

5-0 out of 5 stars Execellent study tips
Pass Key to the LSAT provides excellent basic study tips and guidelines for the LSAT. This book is highly recommended for its information, affordability, and user-friendly layout.

5-0 out of 5 stars A good prep book
This book is great.I've taken a lot of these standardized tests, and I've found that for a test like the LSAT, the best preparation is to know the format of the test well, to practice each section (timed and untimed), and to finish with taking a few full length practice tests. There is no need to buy a big ... book for the LSAT.There's no need to take a course. Simplicity is the key and this book is all you need. It's a ... good little book.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy This Book
This book was the worst LSAT book I used to prepare for the test. It'scompact size made it stressful on my eyes and the book was hard to keepopen during a practice test. The questions were misleading and sometimesirrelevant.I would estimate my score went down from using this book. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good basic info
I used this book to study for the LSAT and would recommend it for the person who has never taken the LSAT nor has much idea what they're getting into.Good basic information in terms of explaining how the test is laid out and what to expect the actual day of the test.Good explanations, specifically in terms of the arguments section and how to prepare for the different types of questions you're going to be asked. The two tests in the back are helpful (I had the copy without the CD-Rom, so can't attest to it's validity) and I appreciated the explanations to their examples (especially in terms of the analytical games section...

2-0 out of 5 stars The last think I want is brevity...
I have never adapted to PR's approach to standardized exams -- they rely on brevity and anecdotes rather than objective and detailed explanations and strategies to the LSAT, and that's the last thing I wanted in preparing for my entrance to law school. The practice exams are effective, but they aren't real LSAT questions (like Barron's and Kaplan's) -- there's no subsitute for the real thing! Besides, I don't even like their brittle pages!2-0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your time

1-0 out of 5 stars Test questions not representative of actual LSAT
I used this book to prepare for the LSAT, and do not believe it provided questions as dificult as I actually encountered.1-0 out of 5 stars Dissatisfied customer.
My problem with this book is that after taking the diagnostic test it contains, I soon learned that it DOES NOT include a score conversion chart like the real LSAT contains. Without the score conversion chart it couldmore difficult for the test taker to gauge his/her improvement. Also buyerbeware: it DOES NOT contain actual practice and test questions frompreviosly administered LSAT exams as do both the Princeton Review andKaplan LSAT prep books. As a consumer this was not obvious to me. I wasdissapointed in this product.

3-0 out of 5 stars helpful, but not completely
