The very best!
I am a legal assistant and I use this book constantly! It gives you great strategies to work more efficiently while getting better results. I had no idea how many legal resources there are online! This book tells you which sites are the most reliable and easy to use. It also demystifies annotated legal codes, case digests, state reports and many other research tools. But most importantly it is extremeley well organized and easy to use. I wish that I had discovered this book when I was a student!

Dont buy from amazon
Attn all students! Amazon promises to send books by a specific date then changes the dates without your consent. Trying to get a refund is a nightmare. Be prepared to get stuck without the book and still get the bill. Customer service is outsourced to India and is no help even if you could understand them. 4 wks and counting and still no promised refund. This not the only time this has happened.The issue is not with the seller it is Amazon.

the real deal with cyberlaw!
This is the first book that truly explains all about cyberlaw, It's easy to read and very educational, doesnt matter if your not that good with the internet you'll still enjoy reading this book that gives you all the information you need on cyberlaw, gives many cases as examples, and explains abrevations! Very helpful book
This book was recommended by a professor since the final grade was based upon a final paper. I wish I had this book since 1st year. Great for people who plan to "write on" to law review as well as write any kind of legal scholarly paper. Highly recommend this.

Helpfull with other sources
I do like this book since it does cover a lot of material for the paralegal which helps with leagal research and writing. The problem is in the writing style of the text, it truly will make you fall asleep. There are alsop a lack of useable diagrams when it come to writing law office memos. The formats however are presented rather well and I would reccomend this text to a paralegal to use as a reference but look into other materials which help aswell such as QUICK STUDY LAW LEGAL WRITING BAR CHART. ... Obviously the book was in great condition, it was new.However, this book doesn't teach you things that you don't already know or that a law school librarian can't tell you.I paid a lot of money for a book I hardly ever touch!

Practical Resource
As a [...] consumer, I have yet to buy a book from these publishers that wasn't worth the asking price.These books are that useful!As a practicing paralegal in the Golden State, I consider myself fairly industry savvy but still found information contained within that I didn't find elsewhere.I'm not comfortable with [...] having the monopoly on subjects of this nature because any time there is only 1 provider of any given thing, that provider tends to gouge consumers.That will changeas competition develops.In the interrim, however, this book is a good resource.Highly recommended.

Never Use it
I had to purchase this manual for my 1st Year Legal Writing class in Fall 2000.That was the last time I ever used it! Everyone I know uses the Blue Book.You'll probably never use the ALWD manual outside of your law school class.

Never Again . . .
I was required to use ALWD's Citation System in law school, in part because one of the professors is a member. However, as I do not work around any of the Courts that use it (e.g. 11th Cir., Montana, the Marshall Islands), then it is absolutely useless.
I didn't know how bad it was 'til I started blue-booking
There are several reasons this book is inferior to the Harvard Blue Book (HBB).
