5-0 out of 5 stars A must read for both sides of the debate
Sure it's filled with hyperbole and emotion, after all, the author's son was murdered in a racially motivated hate crime. But the book serves a very important purpose.Mr. Shields plays fast and loose with the facts, but also asks the hard questions that the gun control debate should centeron. It is also important to revisit this book since it was originallypublished to observe the interesting changes since. For example Mr.Shields lists the number of accidental firarms fatalities from 1967 to 1979in Appendix D which shows a clear decline which continues to this day (2896in '69, 1800 in '79, 1400 today).Compare this with Appendix F, Handgunsproduced in US, and you see a steady climb. If you're interested in thegun control debate, please read this book and compare it to "TheSamurai, the Mountie, and the Cowboy".You'll come away with a farbetter understanding of both sides. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Ideas for Living Well
Robert S. Wood is an exceedingly good writer. He is able to express his thoughts better than 95% of the writers I am aware of. He is very convincing. You are bound to feel better after reading this book. It contains information we very much need.

1-0 out of 5 stars NOT a method for suicide
This book is more mental than actual. If u are searching for ways to actually die keep looking. It does help u prepare mentally I will say. After i read his method for death i ripped it up. The advertising is very misleading to those in a delicate state of mind.

5-0 out of 5 stars You CAN take the "Easy Way Out"
_Peaceful Passing_ is an enlightening and comforting book for everyone, especially for anyone who fears dying or "the hereafter."This"happy little book about death" is a just-in-time alternative tothe depressing prospect of losing control at the end of your life to themedical profession and their sophisticated and expensive life supportsystems.Read more
