Although this book is designed for clients, this is an excellent guide for lawyers who generally do not practice in the family law arena.

This is a very complete workbook that explains the process of getting all your items together for the lawyers and for you own peace of mind. It contains worksheets for getting everything from the marriage certificate,and childrens birth certificates, to where is the money, stock portfolio,and insurance policies. This book should be required reading before divorce filings
I wish I had read this book before I got divorced.It could have helped both of us to survive the ordeal.Actually, it might have kept it from becoming an ordeal.Divorce attorneys should be required to read this book and have it in their "lending libraries" or on a "recommended reading list" for their clients.

Reasonably decent information, but this is like doing surgery on yourself - you can do it, but you might not like the results.I met a woman several years ago who saved $200 by doing her own divorce and lost a quartermillion in her husband's retirement.Use at your own risk.

A logical & comprehensive guide for both sides of the issue.
I am a noncustodial parent who has made some serious mistakes on my case.While no book can correct these mistakes, I now know how to avoid them in the future & to handle the problems I have now.My mistakes?I paidcash for child support, I lost my job & didn't know I could have theorder modified downward, I lost my driver's license before I learned how tomake payment arrangements & get it back.All in all, it was a veryinformative guide & easy to read.I highly recommend it to all parentswho have to deal with government child support enforcement agencies.

Hard Core Advice; Readable; Focussed on Winning the War
This guy is dead serious about getting his male (and female) clients a fair deal during divorce proceedings.But he's not advocating vindictive strategies, because that not the best way to win the war.And he's all about winning the war - defined as getting the best NET financial deal possible (i.e after tax considerations and legal costs). You shouldn't be in divorce proceedings if want to make up with your spouse.Therefore, if you ARE in divorce proceedings you have to believe that you're in a war and act that way.Period. Not for Men Only!

Considering Marriage as if it were a Business Contract
For the sake of argument, look at marriage as if it were a business contract. Ask what obligations it imposes on the man; then ask what rights it gives him in return.Consider the alternative: a live-in girlfriend who bears his children.What additional rights does the married man have, that the wife cannot take away by filing for divorce?Answer: none.What additional obligations does the man have that the wife can enforce by filing for divorce? Plenty!So why would a man sign such an agreement?Let us give credit where it is due: Howard Stern made this argument years ago.
Abraham nails it and forewarns us all
The beauty of this book is it shows, in graphic terms, what the pitfalls of marriage are nowadays.And then it goes on to show you how to maximize the probability (no guarantees, never are...) of having a succcessful marriage.The enemy here?It is not women (sorry, ladies no misogony here to gripe about) but the idiotic divorce laws that we have permitted "well-meaning"politicians (sorry, I want to puke when I write that too) and other "social leaders" (double puke) to shove down our throats in "the best interest of the children." (triple puke)
