Great Planning Resource
I'm a public official with the planning function, looking for a better way to preserve farm land, open space and rural character. This book offers a lot of insight into the history and uses of conservation easements. The book is divided into sections that describe in detail how laws and courts in each section of the country administer conservation easements. I recommend this book - it is an excellent planning resource!

The book to have if your landlord is a jerk.
If your landlord is a jerk and you want to know what he (or she) can legally do or not do, this book will help.It will also give you some idea of when to go for professional help.It is of less help in figuring out what to do before you have to bring in the lawyers.I found it very helpfull to leave this book on the coffee table when my nosy landlord was snooping around my apartment.Apparently bad landlords don't like it when tenants know their rights.

Great Book
I had property this semester and this book was great.It has quite a few outlines that can be straight up copied and pasted into your outlines.The cases are abridged really well which keeps the reading assignments reasonable in length.The only negative comment I have about this book is that it does contain a certain amount of repetition.I wish the rest of my textbooks were this clear and concise.

Great for first year law students
Bought it for a friend who was a first year and it has helped him immensely in school.

Redundant for law school, possibly useful later
I considered buying this when I started law school.However, my school provides law students with free subscriptions to both Westlaw and Lexis online, and the entire school is set up with wireless internet.Therefore, the full version of Black's is easily available to me online any time I'm on campus.A laptop with wireless LAN is probably more important for college students these days than most paper references.
For what it's worth:
Don't take this book the wrong way. At the time of this review, it cost 29 dollars, a reasonable price when it comes to 1L book costs. It fits into a purse or backpack, if not a pocket. It will serve you well enough in Civpro or Torts in a pinch, until you can get to the Law Library and read a full size Blacks. Do NOT take this book to be an end all be all, it was never meant to be and people who gave this terrible reviews due to its lack of completeness are missing the point. This is a book for when you don't HAVE a full size Black's in front of you, which every 1L should. ... Read more

Fantastic black letter explanation of 1L property class
I'm at a #7 ranked law school and have a terrible property textbook and throughout the year I used this book to bolstermy understanding. Many times I felt like I understand much better than my classmates becaues this book gives you such a solid foundation. It also has exercises for each little section so you get it all down pat! Now I am studying for my 1L property final and am so grateful to have this book that I took the time to come here and write a review. This book is especially strong for understanding present and future interests in possessory estates. But it also has concurrent ownership (joint tenancy, tenancy in common, etc.). Finally, this book is slim and small so I am even grateful for that because toting around all the heavy law textbooks makes you not take this for granted. ;) Understand property, don't just read about it.
My girlfriend is in law school. When she had time to talk to me the other day, she told me about how this book has been a huge help and helped her understand her property class better than her other textbooks. Not for the novice, but perfect for the future lawyer that really needs to understand the concepts.

Awesome Intro to AssetProtection
This book is probably the best entry level guide to asset protection.

Excellent book for general public
I read through the book and learned a lot about various aspects of asset protection. This book is focused on small business, as it says, and it does an excellent job when discussing various 'tools'. There are many great asset protection 'tools' out there, but what works for you is all you need to care about, and this books does just that to small business owners. What every small to large-sized business owner needs !!
It's clear that the author has years of experience in protecting business owners' hard-earned assets. The author's asset protection strategies range from simple and inexpensive to complex and costly.
