Credit Repair 7th edition
I found this book to be very informative and helpfull.I have used it has a guide in helping repair my own credit.I recommend it to many.

This book is not getting enough Credit!!!
This book was so helpful, I just can't uderstand the bad reviews! Thanks to Credit Repair I've gone from being up to my ears in debt to having near perfect credit! Of course this kind of result isn't going to happen over night, any one who tells you otherwise is lying or doing something illegal. THERE ARE NO LEGAL QUICK FIXES!!! I've tried many different methods to improve my credit but following the advice in this book is the only one that worked for me. It even contains a CD-ROM with pre-made forms and letters that help to make the process as easy and painless as possible. Credit Repair was worth every cent!

Poorly Written Overview of tax heavens
I expected to get advice on the legality of establishing an offshore corporation. In particular, how to legally retain earnings inside the corporation.
Learn how wealthy american fleece the working stiff
I always get a couple of laughs when I see these 'tax haven' and 'offshore banking books' marketed to the general public as some sort of panacea for confiscatory taxation.As if some working stiff (like me) can swim up to the pool bar at the hotel in the Caymans and rub elbows with other 'tax refugees' and flip the bird to the IRS.GIVE ME A BREAK.This subject was a pet hobby of mine over the last 6 years and let me tell you that unless you are in the top 1% of income earning americans this book is useless to you.Unless you have a hundred thousand dollars you can blow in attorneys fees to set up your 'technically' legal International Business Corporation, and have a team of CPA's certifiy your tax returns 'assuring' the government that you 'really really' dont own the other 98% of your corporation you can not LEGALLY use the ideas contained in this book.If you wanted an explanation of how the international tax laws work, while at the same time how you could break the tax laws and hide and deposit money in a place like the Bahamas you can use this book.BUT, no matter what type of person you are, you ought to study tax havens for 5 years before you do anything, legal or otherwise. Turtlehut incorrect
In Turtlehut's review he/she said social security answer ID277 indicated that certain income was not counted in determining if there was to be an income tax on benefits.That is not correct.That information relates to the earnings limit test,or how much income is counted on which a worker pays fico taxes into the fund. There are people who collect pensions and still work. I should know, I pay income tax all my retirement income including social security and it is punitive.The tax was imposed in l983....thank Ronald Reagan and his revolting congress.
Right On Retirement
Geez, I find Tut's review inappropriate. My copy had an errata sheet with a correction for the error that is cited, which is more than I can say for some of the other books I've read on retirement. The book is readable, comprehensive and not too technical. I foundanswers to a lot of my questions. I particularly liked that I could find the information I needed without reading the whole book. Malaspina seems to know enough about her audience to have anticipated the key issues and organized them from the most basic to the most arcane. My advice: If you are within 5 years of retirement, this book should be on your "must read" list.

First thing I read was wrong
I just received this book and thumbing through it read Ohapter 14 on Social Security. On page 141 she that at age 62 you lose $1 in benefits for every $2 in earnings above $11,500 - which is correct. But then she goes on to saying "You can't get around these reductions in benefits by supplementing your Social Security income with withdrawals from your other savings or retirement plans. CAPITAL GAINS, dividends, interest income, and any other withdrawals from your retirement plans or accounts count as income and you fail the test if you push past $11,500 or $30,000 regardless of source."Read more

Awesome advice!Wouldn't get a pro se divorce without it!
This book helped me get through what could have been a messy divorce. Thanks to their advice, I was able to get the divorce finalized quickly with a seperation agreement.This book is very thorough and self-explainatory.

Provides ok background, but don't rely on it
Feel free to look through this book to learn the basic concepts that you'll need to know if you're going through a divorce, but do _not_ rely on this book alone without consulting an expert, _even_ if your divorce is simple and uncontested.

Just Awful- Negative Stars
Except for one excellent section on settling old debts and negotiating to get them taken off your credit report, this "book" is a piece of crap, to not put too fine a point on it.

Excellent resource--easy to understand and smart
I heard about this book from a friend in business school who said it was on the recommended reading list. I bought the book and now I understand why it is considered one of the most useful books of the type. I'm persuaded by the writing, the examples, and the presentation. Highly recommended.

A huge waste of time and $$$
If it was allowed I would give this book a big fat zero. Alas, one star is as low as it gets. It skims over everything. Nothing practical in here. If you feel compelled to get this book buy a used copy. I am in the process of reading "Start Your Own Business" By Rieva Lesonsky which proves to be a great resource.

Extremely Helpful and Interesting!
I found this clearly written book to be helpful and even sort ofinteresting to read. It covers various aspects of setting up a business that uses a website and also setting up the website as well.(I didn't realize that many legal issues could affect your website, such as copyright issues and other publishing laws.)It also provides some fundamentals about contract law and system development you need to know in order to put a website in place.It is a good practical mix of legal and business advice. The sections on how to go about actually building your site, what functions and what content should be on it, are informative and full of issues that I would not have thought of on my own.The book is in a handbook format, and I will probably also refer to it with various questions as I go forward with the process.It also has forms in the back that I can fill in to create a budget.My business is a start-up but it seems like this book would be helpful for anyone who needs to know the legal and practical issues surrounding their business's website. ...
