Very Powerful Presentation on 401K
I have gained much from this small yet fact filled book and feel much more secure about the future.

This short book covered more than I thought it would, a must read if you are considering a 401k plan or are ready to retire.

Great help with financial planning whetheryou are 22 or 62
Ms. Rowland does a great job answering just about every question imaginable when it comes to dealing with your 401K plan. There is advice for getting started,switching jobs, planning beneficiaries, actually retiring, taking loans out against your 401k...everything.The book is written in a series of 2 page articles she lists as "steps" so if you want to skip around you can.While a little of the material is dated as a result of the recent tax changes, it is mostly in regards to amounts an individual is able to contribute.I felt I was fairly knowledgeable on this topic before I started reading but I found it pretty interesting and worth the time. ... Great Title
This book is fantastic. There is a wealth of useful forms for everything you can imagine. I recieved this book as a gift and though that it would just take up space on my bookshelf. Ironically it has been the most referred to and used book I have ever owned. I have used the book to set up a power of attorney, prepare a tenants notice to move out, demand the return of a security deposit, complete a loan comparison worksheet, and to sell my dog. This book provides the forms and the explanation to do eveything I mentioned as well as a ton of other common transactions. It has saved me hundreds of dollars and I beleive that anyone who buys this book will cover the cost of the book within three months by making use of the forms and instructions provided.

A must have for an intelligent frugal like myself
This book was terrific. If you have half a brain and like to save money this book is a must have. It contians almost every essentail form that you will need and it explians what they are and how to use them in a clear and concise way that even my nine year old niece could understand. And I guarantee that you will rely on this thing at least once a year for the rest of your life it is just that useful.

A great overview for beginners
I am a real estate attorney and recommend this book to anyone who is new to the purchase and sale of real estate.This book is a clearly written explanation of the residential real estate purchase process from contract through closing. It will explain the terms used and the steps that must be taken, so that you will be able to understand what is happening and what has to be done.That being said, I would no more recommend that you rely on a self-help book to buy or sell your home, than I would recommend that you do your own electrical work.There is a lot at stake, and if you screw up, you will get burned.Read this book and hire competent professionals.

Good General Information
Interesting reading for those who are looking to buy or sell their own properties. Very general, but some valid points in contract creation.

Great approach to a difficult & complicated subject
I enjoyed the book, Best Intentions, and have given copies to several friends. It includes real-life examples that are easy to understand and addresses hard to face issues well. For those of us 'Baby Boomers' who do have the best of intentions for loved ones we will someday leave behind, it is a good way to start the dialogue and plans for the inevitable.

Interesting real stories
Using real stories, the author tried to tell you just a will may not be enough. You have to think, plan carefully before writing a will to make sure it is what you want to do with your leftover. Estate Planning Made Easy
An excellent book -- the best I've ever read on the subject. As a financial advisor I can't recommend it enough. Most find estate planning confusing. This book is not confusing. It's an easy read. Each simple, short, touching story illustrates a different problem that can arise by not doing good estate planning. Corporations - Legal Protection
This was the first book I've read on creating corporations.I like how Childer's talks about the various business entities one could have and the pros & cons.It was a medium read book, not super easy, but not so difficult that someone with very little knowledge of corporations could understand. I invest in the stock market and real estate and have my own home based business. I have talked to many lawyers, read many books and taken classes and seminars, but never have I read anything as complete as this great book by John V. Childers. But then of course you can't find this information anywhere else. Either others don't know or they won't share it in a $24 book. They would rather charge you $1,000 for a seminar for the same information. No thanks, I'll go with the $24 book. Nothing New

The Guide was very helpful
Since the Bluebook is a complicated reference book, it is difficult to learn how to use it by reading it. Dworsky's little book gave me the foundation I needed to understand the Bluebook. It is no longer a mystery to me!

Bluebook, italics, and underlining
I agree with the previous reviewers concerning this book.The issue of italics vs. underlining may be controversial, but I think most courts and most attorneys favor underlining; I know I do.In fax transmissions, underlining shows up much better.Also, underlined cases and emphases are much easier to spot when reading a legal brief or memorandum.

A Very Useful Book
Have you ever said to yourself,"They can't do that to me.It's not legal."?Only, you weren't really sure that what they were doing was illegal and you didn't want to rush out to hire a lawyer to find out for sure.Well, if you buy this book, the next time that happens you won't need a lawyer to find out whether you have a case or not.It will even tell you if you should get a lawyer.The AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION FAMILY LEGAL GUIDE is an easy read, it's organized well, and it covers most of the legal questions that occur in the lives of the majority of us. It's a very useful book.
