Messy tapes on easy subject
At first, I was afraid of agency & partnership, then later I realized that these subjects are covered already in torts and corporations courses.This lecture series is long even though the material is quite simple.I have two problems with this product.There are four tapes on agency and partnership, respectively.First, for each subject the professor spend three tapes telling the rules and then the last tape saying, "Okay, now here are the rules from the new Restatement."They should have said the most updated rules from the start.Second, (and please forgive the age-ism here), the back cover shows the Munch is an older gentleman.When you listen to the tapes, you will learn that he has an old man's voice.Whereas other tapes have younger people cracking jokes because they know many of these law subjects are tedious, here you have the kind of old professor that will make you go to sleep.Again, please forgive the unintended courseness of that observation.But honestly, his voice will be an impediment to listening to this series. ... Worst E&E Book Out There
This is easily the worst book in the E&E series.

Not bad, but the worst of the series
I've read 11 or so of the Examples and Explanations books while in Law School.For the most part, the series is great.The material is broken down into sections that make sense and the important points are made and remade with the examples.

Engagingly written
Hamid's welcome study provides a comparison of ganja use and its distribution in San Fernando, Trinidad, and Brooklyn, New York. Chapters based on ethnography are engagingly written. Hamid does an excellent job of conveying Trinidadian street life in the 1970s.His treatment of Rastafarianism as a belief system, however, is dissapointing, and he makes few attempts to incorporate recent (post-1980s)research on Rastafarianism into his analysis.Recommended.Stephen D. Greenwood draws upon her extensive experience as a mediator to come up with a clearly written, succinct set of 41 concise rules for negotiating that are applicable not only to labor issues but also useful to everyday interactions with coworkers and family.This book is readily accessible to all because it is written in standard English, not in legal jargon.As one who is not familiar with legal terminology, I found the Glossary to be especially valuable, as are the other Appendices.For each of the 41 rules, Greenwood provides a sample script that summarizes how one can deal with this point.For example, Rule 31 - "Watch the other side's body language", with the script that follows " When he does not look me in the eye, I think he is lying."Many of the 41 rules should be, but often are not, a matter of common sense in dealing with others; Rule 41 - "Do not expect thanks or gratitude when it is all over."
