This book was O.K. but not great. The information could fit in ten to twenty pages - as in a pamphlet.

The best book on teams
This is the best book on teams! If I could have given it more stars I would. A definite MUST read. This will be your reference bible on teams from now onward.

motivation
It is a great tool to motive oneself in all types of business. i find it very helpful.

I love Zig ziglar
His presentation is always beautiful and he expounds so well. Very good for your home library

Sales
I have the audio cassette version, and i must admit this is one of Zigs best audio programs. The first part of the tape or cd talks about Self Image, then it goes on the Prospecting, and then other areas of sales. Dont waste your money on any of Ziglars other tapes, if you want an audio program which will benefit all areas of your life, this is the one. We are all in sales, you sell yourself in an interview when trying to land that job you want, you sell yourself to that guy or girl that you want to ask out on a date. We are all in sales. Just a little note, these audio programs where done quiet a few years ago, and now they have been put onto Cd's, if only it were made available on cd in the first place, because i ended up buying the cd version and giving the cassette version to my friend. Information Packed Book! Lots of Great Tips
I thought this book was excellent! I learned quite a lot from reading it and hope to really apply what I have learned to my finances. It was jam packed with helpful tips and ideas on how to take full advantage of tax loopholes. I would recommend this to any small business owner!!

simplistic
Not very well written. Its is simplistic & somewhat condescending.
Read it and weep
This book makes a lot of assumptions.It assumes that the reader is EXTREMELY well versed in corporate tax advantages.It assumes that the reader already owns a corporation.It assumes that the book will be read with a dictionary of financial terms close at hand.(It should be.The book is poorly written, with key terms lacking adequate defenition.)I support the Rich Dad series.It is a great way for a beginner to get their feet wet.This book assumes that the reader can already swim!Even the seasoned incorporator would probably not be pleased with this book.Tell you what, if you are considering buying this book, save yourself some money and just send me ten bucks.I'll then call you (on my own dime) and summarize the book for you.Oh, what the heck, I'll do it now, for free...surround yourself with a competent team of advisors. ... Finz is a very good presenter
I used this review for the bar exam and found it to be very helpful.Finz is both entertaining and concise.This set is thorough and I would recommend it for law school or the bar or even for professionals just looking for 'nutshell' encapsulation of the subject of Torts.This one compares favorably to the many other Sum and Substance CDs as well as other sets I've listened to.

A great break from reading torts
Finz has an interesting accent and he does sing a few times, but this cd set is a great way to refresh after lecture or after reading the text.From intentional torts to strict liability to products liability, Finz covers it all and he uses examples to illustrate his point -very useful.I would give it 5 stars, but he is somewhat annoying.I'll never be able to get "fun trucking, fun truckiiiiiiiinnnnnnggggg" out of my head.Buy the set and find out what I'm talking about.

This book is a must read for any True American!

Easy Read
I'm generally NOT a book reader, but managed to read The FairTax book in just over one day, while on the road with the family.I'd already heard a great deal about the FairTax from listening to talk radio, but I was really hooked from just the first ten-page (or so) chapter.I find it hard to believe that anyone could learn about the history of the income tax system, and the 16th Ammendment, without beginning to boil.How could we have been so short-sighted to allow this to happen?
The Fair Tax: The Country needs this badly!
Please read this book,it will open your eyes.The Fair Tax is the way to go,the mere fact that the IRS code needs over sixty thousand pages should tell you that there is alot of legal graft and corruption built into the system.The Fair Tax would eliminate this.Do yourself a favor and buy this book,read it and then take action.

Covers the basics, but not strategy or advice
This book is good in that it covers all the basic mechanics of stock options -- Incentive and Non-Qualified, and ESPP plans. However, this basic information can easily be found on the web or from your employer. If you have any stock options, GET THIS BOOK!

very good book that addresses contemporary tax issues (i.e. savings vehicles, organizational format, tax arbitrage, international, M&A, etc.) by consistently using a few concise, clear frameworks (all parties, all taxes, all costs AND 1 pocket 2 another, 1 time to another, 1 type to another.
Solid treatment of material
We used this book as the text for a masters level course in our masters of accouting program. Students responded well and appeared to enjoy the book. They found the treatment of the material to be at an apporpriate level, and they rated the book a five on a five point anonymous rating. The only suggestion they proferred was for some companion piece covering a few of the more currently used planning techniques.

Great Text For a Complex Subject
As another reviewer states, the material for this book was used in the Taxes & Business Strategy class at both the University of Chicago and Stanford's business schools. Compared to other texts on this subject, it is actually readable and, more importantly, understandable to a non-tax professional. The are an abundance of examples that you can apply directly to situations which arise in real world situations. The 2nd edition has been updated to reflect most recent changes in the tax law.Read more

Business and Its Environment (5th Edition)
This book is an easy read. It has tons of useful information. I would recommend this book.

New Edition is Better
There is a new edition (the fifth) for this book, and it is better than the edition shown here.While avoiding a polemical view, Baron illustrates business ethical priciples with very poignant examples and stories.The case studies are very up to date and fun to read.More than that, though, the case studies can form a basis for classroom debate and discussion which not only brings the material to life but also promotes critical thinking and articulation among students.
The book for dilettante readers
The author provided some good examples demonstrating a picture of business and its environment. People who have exposed to Industrial Organization (or at least some levels of application of game theory) will get bored of all arguments without mentioning anything about its quantitative aspect. ... Comprehensive, Useable, and Readable
The book was a long read and made some challenging conclusions but provided me with specific, valuable knowledge in serious construction scheduling topics such as extension of time claims and time impact analysis.The examples included are many as are the case studies.The book opened my mind as to the significant capability the construction schedule can have on making or breaking the profitablility of a compressed project or one that is prone to delays.The book is a must read for consultants on the matter but also important to senior project controls staff. ... Incorporating your Business for Dummies
The book gave a good review of the different types of Incorporation. The type that might be best for any business desired with different requirements and tax advantages of each type. Whether one has partners makes a difference in type needed or whether one wants to sell stock in their company or not.
Lots of Incorrect Information
This book is in a word HORRIBLE.Some of this information is dangerous to someone starting up a business because it is incorrect.Unfortunately, the Wiley Dummy series hires low end authors who aren't experts and don't research the topics. Good as a starter, but you will need more.
Inc for Dummies is not just for dummies, it is a good book on How To Incorporate, but you will need more.Read more

Not such an easy read
Okay book, not the best read, but better than the Mas-Collel green books. This book gives a lot of info on theory but I thought it lacked wrt practical (applied examples). Used for a graduate level course in Micro Econ. My particular course is very hard (this class serves both graduate and PhD Finance students) so needless to say, I am ordering the workbook to help me survive!

Needs work
I used this text in an intermediate microeconomic theory course, but have a math background. The first half of the text is acceptable - concepts are presented well, and there are a good number of examples. The biggest problem is that the author or typesetter seems to not understand the correct use of parenthesis - many of the formulae are not correct! The section on game theory, which is the second half of the book, is quite poor. Greater depth is needed, and crucial theory is glanced over. It would be fine for a course which doesn't get past chapter 12 or so, but look elsewhere for game theory.

Good microeconomics book
I have used this as a textbook for my second year microeconomic theory course. I think this is definitely a good reference for mathematical approach to economics. This book definitely assumes some exposure to beginning microeconomics, so this is not a beginners text. It is a nice book because it has a lot of interesting info beside standard micro topics, such as risk aversion. Exaples and graphs are helpful to illustrate the concepts. Excercises are hard (at least some of them), so get the solution manual. I also found this textbook interesting because it has a lot of footnotes with additional details, and "extensions" in the end of each chapter which take the topics a bit futher. Another helpful feature was the list of recommended literature for each topic. Even though I am not sure if I will continue in economics, I am still keeping this book for myself because I had a good experience with it. ... Read more
